First Shots Second Round Rimfire Challenge

Sat. July 12 9am-12pm
Platte River State Park Outdoor Heritage Education Complex

This event is an introduction to rimfire steel challenge and competitive shooting. The sound of lead hitting steel is one of the coolest sounds to a new shooter. Steel challenge is about shooting fast, but you cannot learn to be fast unless you learn the fundamentals by being slow and methodical and this event will do just that.

This program is open to youth and adults ages 12 and up. If you are bringing your own rimfire rifle you must bring your own ammunition. Loaner guns and ammo are available. This event is free and is limited to the first 20 participants. Pre-registration is required:
