ATA Summit Meeting

Meeting of archery industry folks and state and federal agencies

Sorry I was absent for a couple days as I was attending the Archery Trade Association Summit.   A great time where over 25 states and archery industry folks  (Easton, Bohning, Lone Wolfe Stands…to name a few)  meet to discuss the annual state of the archery industry.  Good discussions and glad to see Nebraska is doing a lot for the sport compared to some states.  I really attribute that success to the outstanding support we have from the hunting community!

Today Greg Easton gave us some valuable insight about the archery industry.  Overall, the industry has grown but 2009 was a tough year as many purchases were made for black guns, ammo and the like because of supply fears (which actually caused supply problems…) resulting in less purchases in the archery arena.  That said, many such as Easton see a steady growth overall and that is the good news.  Look for many manufacturers to take advantage of the market place in introduce new products for archers in 2010.  Should be a creative year!

Get em…out there!
