My favorite gun of choice for predators in eastern NE is the 12 ga semi auto with a turkey choke using 3 in mags of BBs. This load has taken coyotes consistently for me with authority. Coyotes are tough critters and this combo anchors them quickly. I like shotguns because many times the critter seems to come in close and fast. A good sling also makes the coyote gun more enjoyable to tote. Good luck.
