All Permits Are Now Online
Just a quick not for our many outdoor enthusiasts that we have converted to all electronic permitting (no more paper Hunt/Fish permits) for purchase of hunting, fishing permits in the future. Online permitting has been a huge advancement for hunters and anglers in Nebraska allowing us to purchase permits when WE want to, from the comfort of our own homes, we can purchase 24/7, etc. It continues to be the poster child of convenience! It has not been without a few setbacks such as when the system is down the night before a hunt but the benefits have been well worth it for this hunter/angler! I future purchases, understanding not all past permit vendors are involved with the online permit sales, you may want to call ahead before heading out. Also, not a bad idea to purchase permits at least two days before the hunt just to make sure the system is working properly. Being able to purchase our permits in the privacy of your own home at any time is a real bonus and Nebraska was a leader in this effort. Ooh I’m so proud!

I think saying a paperless permit is not accurate; when you do purchase your own permit online; you still print a copy of it for yourself.
Good point Linda! It is no longer the license from the old permit book but you still print out a paper copy. Thanks for keeping us on track!
