Rabbit Hunting…Be A Kid Again
During the late season we often hang up the boots after pheasant season ends but there is much fun to be had. Rabbit season still runs until the end of February offering hunting opportunities for all with little competition.
My favorite late season technique is roaming brush piles, cedar groves and heavily wooded crick bottoms (especially low areas where with warmer thermals) where rabbits find the living more friendly. Not the usual high-octane big game hunt you are used to? Try it with a handgun or with a bow and arrow! Any 22 cal firearm is fun. Take a kid with you and relive those moments all over again. Remember to wear blaze orange and just have fun!
Get em’ out there!
