NEBRASKAland Photo Library

March 18, 2010 Afield and Afloat 1 Comment

NEBRASKAland has a photo library, much like your neighborhood book library — but we have a lot more photographs than those establishments have books. What makes it in the magazine is there, as well as all those images that we haven’t used yet. So, even taking a single year into perspective, NEBRASKAland has thousands of images that most of the world never gets to see.

I say this because all of these images are for sale and I thought you should know. And while we do not have a website dedicated to the selling of these prints at this time, we do have Sarah Johnson. She is our photo librarian who can point you in the direction of any image found in NEBRASKAland. Cranes, geese, and other birds of all sorts – she has. Flowers, trees, and grasses – she has. And countless sunrises and sunsets. You name it, and our photographers have shot it.

Below are a few images of mine I’ve never showed. The rattlesnake image was taken in Hitchcock County, the rainbow in Cherry County, and the deer in Douglas County. And these are just scratching the surface. Sarah is the one with the real collection, and is happy to help you with those NEBRASKAland images you are looking to own. Contact her at sarah.johnson@nebraska.gov or at 402-471-5466 and take NEBRASKAland home with you.

Beautiful photographs, especially the rainbow one and the snake is really menacing.
