LINCOLN, Neb. – Arbor Day is April 30 and Arbor Lodge State Historical Park (SHP) is celebrating with a weekend full of activities, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
The mansion will be open April 30-May 2 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. On April 30, the park will host programs for children at 9:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. A thousand trees will be given away courtesy of Arbor Day Farm. On May 1, there will be a commemorative tree planting and Arbor Day honoree ceremony and reception at 10 a.m.
