Top Items Every Turkey Vest Should Have

April 3, 2010 Lock, Stock and Bedlam 2 Comments

We work hard so we can play hard.  We anticipate the  opener of each season with anticipation of a five year old on Christmas Eve.  These days, we have to spend our money wisely and here is my list of things every turkey hunter should have (aside from gun or bow and permits):

1. Compass or GPS

2. At least three different calls – try a box, slate and diaphragm and know how to use them

3. Binoculars

4. One good hen decoy – I readily use all sorts of decoys throughout the season but you can rarely go wrong with the hen

5. Flashlight

6. First Aid kit

7. Bottle of water and some snacks

8. A good book

9. A good cushion to sit on

10. Blaze orange hat or bandana

11. One bottle of patience!

These work well

These are nice for the mobile hunter

A good vest with cushion is a turkey hunter's best friend!!!
