Valentine Youth Fishing Clinic Set for May 1
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Valentine State Fish Hatchery and several partner organizations will conduct a youth fishing clinic on May 1, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
The 9 a.m. clinic at the hatchery northeast of Valentine will be held rain or shine. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
Participants will learn about knot-tying, fish identification, water and boating safety, and other fishing topics before fishing one of the hatchery ponds stocked with rainbow trout.
Lunch will be provided by the Valentine Lions Club and equipment is being donated by the Nebraska Walleye Association.
