Expos Offer First Time Shooting Activities For Youth

May 7, 2010 Lock, Stock and Bedlam No Comments

Our second Expo, this time in Scottsbluff, NE, has just finished and Hershy and I, along with a whole host of other NGPC staff and dedicated volunteers, introduced nearly 500 youth and teachers to the shooting sports this week.  We pulled into town around midnight last night and I already miss the buttes and escarpments of the Wildcat Hills in western NE.

Youth were allowed to take a field trip to the Expo and shoot archery, airguns, fish, learn about camping, boating and much more!  We are working hard to make sure kids have an opportunity to experience the things we love in the outdoors and could not do it without the dedicated volunteers in western NE!

Make sure you bring the family out to join us next week at the Fort Kearney Expo on Saturday May 15 from 9am – 5pm.   The whole family can shoot shotguns, rifles, archery, fish, kayak, and much more…all for FREE!

The airgun ranges teaches kids firearm safety, how to shoot and is a lot of fun!

3D archery teaches kids about shot placement, hunting and how much fun archery can be!

Even the teachers get to shoot...now that's never a bad thing!
