Waterfowl Meetings Rescheduled
LINCOLN, Neb. – Public waterfowl meetings in Kearney and North Platte have been rescheduled because of inclement weather, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
The Kearney meeting, scheduled for Jan. 31 at the ERC building at Yanney Heritage Park, 2020 W. 11th St., has been rescheduled to Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.
The North Platte meeting, scheduled for Feb. 1 at the North Platte Police Department, 715 S. Jeffers, instead will take place Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
The meeting gives hunters an opportunity to voice their opinions about possible boundary changes to duck hunting zones and goose units. In accordance with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service rules, boundary changes may be made every five years. Any changes would be in effect for the 2011-2012 waterfowl hunting seasons.
