If Hats Could Talk

April 11, 2011 Lock, Stock and Bedlam 1 Comment

…I have long believed that if you are really good at interpreting animals sign you could read the stories that unfold when we  are not there to witness the actual events…so I will tell you what I found this past week – I will leave the interpretation to you…

…doing a little scouting for turkey hunts yet-to-come I stopped by an area that I also happen to bow hunt in the fall…in fact, as I made my way to a good listening/viewing spot I followed a path I use when walking to my tree stand in the fall…where my route crosses a fence – I noticed something that resembled a large cotton-ball…as my eyes took me in for a closer look  I also spot something I have been missing since last November – my cap!…reaching to grab my lost item I realize the cotton-ball is actually a cottontail – someone’s long, earred meal…that’s when I also see the gift someone has left on my hat…are they related?…is it just coincidence that something took place near/on my hat?…is this a good omen or something else?…
