BEYOND SKILLET-SIZED TROUT STOCKINGS
Lately, our Game and Parks Fisheries Biologists/Technicians – Steve Wilhelm, Joe Cassidy and Dennis Bridge – at the Grove Trout Rearing Station near Royal in northeast Nebraska have been extremely busy stocking some nice, plump, 11.5 inch-plus rainbow trout in various publicly accessible waters. Some of these fish may go 13 inches or longer! Look at what was stocked just today at the scenic Keller Park State Recreation Area Ponds #4 & 5 near Ainsworth in north-central Nebraska!
Here’s the e-mail address to Steve Wilhelm who is the Superintendent of the Grove Trout Rearing Station where you can find out more locations on stockings of these ‘beyond skillet-sized beauties’ for you to catch: Steve.Wilhelm@Nebraska.Gov
Now, if you haven’t done so already, buy your 2011 Nebraska Fishing and Park Entry Permits, and then as Game and Parks Fishing Guru Daryl Bauer says: GO FISH!

Well, the lake is beautiful! However, I’m not too keen on farm-raised fish!
