Summer Nature Camps Scheduled at Wildcat Hills
LINCOLN, Neb. – Children are invited to participate in a variety of nature encounters in the Wildcat Hills of western Nebraska. The Wildcat Hills Nature Center is offering camps for young students this summer.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is sponsoring four camps for children pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade. Children will learn about the natural world at Wildcats Hills through nature hikes, journaling and hands-on activities.
The camps are:
— Creepy Crawlies, for pre-kindergarten children ages 3-5 accompanied by a parent or guardian, is June 1 from 9-11:30 a.m. The cost is $15.
— Little Bobcats, for students who just completed kindergarten and first grade, is June 7-8 from 9-11:30 a.m. The cost is $20.
— Wildcat Explorers, for students who just finished the second and third grades, is June 14-16 from 9 a.m.-noon. The cost is $25.
— Trees of Nebraska, for students who just finished the fourth through sixth grades, is June 28-30 from 9 a.m.-noon. The cost is $25.
