PLANNING A TRIP TO FORT ROB

May 25, 2011 In The Wild 1 Comment

Sitting around the dinner table last night, my family and I all agreed — it’s time to plan a trip back to one of our favorite Nebraska state parks — Fort Robinson. The landscape alone is the allure to get us to save up some extra dollars for fuel money to make the 922-mile round-trip trek from Omaha to near Crawford in northwest Nebraska!

We’ll see if the lodge at the park (picture below) has any rooms available in mid to late summer. Here’s where we’ll check for vacancies and book our reservations before the week ends: http://nebraskastateparks.reserveamerica.com/

We’ll also plan a side trip to see the unique Toadstool National Park. Ever been there? Cool place.

See you out there!

Planning to vacation at Ft. Rob with the wife’s side of the family again this summer!!!! We cannot wait! Of course you know that besides seeing all those sights and doing all the family activities, I will sneak away and catch some trout while I am there!

Maybe we will be there at the same time? If so, Ft. Rob will never be the same!
