TAKE CWS FANS AND YOURSELVES TO PLATTE RIVER STATE PARK!
If you have friends, relatives or co-workers coming to Omaha for the College World Series (CWS), say, I have something really fun for them and you to do in between or opposite the games. That ‘something’ is a visit to scenic Platte River State Park near Louisville, NE and all of the wonderful activities that it offers including a climb up the 85-foot tall Lincoln Journal lookout tower which gives you commanding views of the lush Platte River valley.
Platte River State Park has a new target shooting/outdoor heritage education complex that you and your guests need to try as well. Air rifles, .22 caliber rifles and various types of archery equipment can all be shot there.
The range/complex continues to be very popular with park goers, especially the kids!
I will be featuring the park and that new facility on my Weekly Outdoor Report airing on Omaha’s WOWT-TV/Channel 6 on Thursday at 6 p.m. during the sports segment. Make it a point to watch!
By the way, if it helps, video replays of my report are always available online at www.wowt.com/sports
See you and your CWS group at Platte River State Park!

I just read another article on your site and then stumbled on this. I’ve actually climbed the Lincoln Journal. Small world.
