With the Missouri River completely off limits, I am receiving quite a few phone calls, e-mails, etc. about where a person could do some pleasure boating, water skiing, personal watercraft operation, etc. near Omaha.

Water Skiing at Fremont Lakes SRA near Fremont, NE.

Rockford Lake SRA near Beatrice, NE.

For recreational boating, these would be the state recreation area lakes/reservoirs nearest to the metro for you to check out: Fremont Lakes near Fremont (Victory, 10 and 20), Salt Valley Lakes around Lincoln (Branched Oak, Bluestem, Pawnee & Conestoga) and Rockford Lake near Beatrice.
