I have used this easy grilled dove recipe for years and wanted to pass it along to you – the dove hunter – with our Nebraska dove hunting season getting underway tomorrow morning. Make those shots count! Enjoy!
Wagner’s Super Simple Grilled Doves:
- 15 doves cleaned and de-feathered
- 8 jalapeños
- 3 pkgs of thick sliced smoked bacon
- tooth picks
Slice each of the jalapeños in half.
Remove center part of jalapeño and seeds.
Put one slice of jalapeño in the dove’s rib cage.
Wrap each dove with one slice of smoked bacon.
Punch a tooth pick through dove to secure the bacon.
Grill the doves for 20 min or until done to your taste. MMM!
