SUNDAY AFTERNOONS, APPLES, ARBOR LODGE AND LIVING HISTORY

September 21, 2011 In The Wild No Comments

I geniunely enjoy fall in Nebraska and all that it has to offer. One of the great things that we – the Wagner family – always do this time of year is make a trip from our home in Omaha to Nebraska City on a Sunday afternoon to a visit to the local apple orchards to buy goodies and to take in living history at Arbor Lodge State Historical Park.

I’ve always had fondness for the beautiful town of Nebraska City, complete with its apple orchards, neat local shops and stately Arbor Lodge mansion; home of J. Sterling Morton, founder of Arbor Day.

Maybe we’ll see you In Nebraska City on a Sunday afternoon! Here’s the link to the living history schedule for Arbor Lodge: http://outdoornebraska.ne.gov/Parks/pdf/events_promotions/ArborLodgeLIVING%20HISTORY%202pages.pdf
