Sweet Clover – Ugly, dangerous, or both?

Sweet clover used to be a staple species for wildlife plantings.  Unfortunately, the species can be pretty aggressive, and has now fallen into disfavor.  It’s a non-native species, and not one I like to see on my sites, but I also don’t think it’s truly an invasive species – I don’t see it decreasing species diversity over time or changing ecosystem functions.  …At least on my sites.
