GETTING REAL CLOSE TO WILD TURKEYS

Wow! I have had such fun this past week fall wild turkey hunting from a portable, camouflaged ground blind here in eastern Nebraska and getting close, REAL CLOSE, to the birds! 

I slowly opened one of the windows of the blind and was able to snap some pics as the turkeys were literally right next to the blind! Incredible! 

After this group of hens, jakes and jennies left, several big toms showed up and I was fortunate enough to shoot this one (my third bird bagged) for the Thanksgiving Day dinner table. 

It was quite an experience, quite a hunt. I don’t need any more shotgun shells, just more pixels!
