Ag and Pheasants Workshop in Trenton Jan. 26

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Ag and Pheasants Workshop in Trenton on Jan. 26 will highlight management strategies for ag producers that increase profitably and create habitat that benefits wildlife. The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the TCDC Building, 403 E. 1st St.

The agenda includes benefits of tall stubble and profitability of various crops, Farm Service Agency program updates, Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program mid-contract management information, Focus on Pheasants history, wildlife benefits from taller wheat stubble, benefits of crop rotation, equipment types for wheat stubble management, and Southwest Focus on Pheasants landowner incentives.

The workshop is open to the public. Anyone planning to attend should call Karen Becker at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s North Platte office at 308-535-8025.
