Public Meeting to Discuss Burchard Reservoir Project

LINCOLN, Neb. – A public informational meeting about improvements to Burchard Reservoir will be held Feb. 1 in Tecumseh. It is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Nemaha Natural Resources District office, 62161 U.S. Hwy. 136.

The proposed project includes rehabilitation of the outlet structure, bank stabilization, improving angler and boating access, and aquatic habitat enhancements.

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission fisheries biologists and engineers will discuss the need for the project, planned construction, timelines and measures being taken to protect the existing fishery at Burchard Reservoir.
