Capitol Display – Now Showing

April 2, 2012 Nongame Bird Blog 3 Comments

If you are down at the Capitol, be sure to check out our Peregrine Falcon display. The display is located near the information desk on the 1st (main) floor of our Capitol building. Live streams from both cameras are showing the action from the nestbox.  We also have digital slide show that includes a Peregrine quiz.  Dare to test your knowledge?

I’ve read comments suggesting there is a fourth egg. I have yet to see this today.  The birds have been on the eggs non-stop most of the day. This may be partially due to the heat, but also may be a good indication that the clutch is complete.

I was just at the Capitol today checking this out, it is very nice. I took the quiz too. I tried to get a screen shot of the 4 eggs today when they were off them but I was not quick enough.

Joel, “you are looking for something that isn’t here” was a confusing message to give the public. it took me a while to figure out how to get the live feed back, and I’m trying to turn people onto the site, but changes without explanation, i.e., needing to log onto “the nongame bird blog” is making it difficult for friends to find. I have friends around the world who want to view, but when the instructions changed to access the live feed instructions should have been given. this really is going to be a very wonderful site; we are waiting anxiously for those four eggs to hatch. but please if you make viewing changes, let us all know in an obvious spot we will all be viewing. Thanks so much Joel.

I didn’t know about the Peregrine falcon, before reading your post. I really want to check out the display. Thanks for giving such an interesting info.
