Take Pride in America Day is May 5 at Branched Oak SRA

LINCOLN, Neb. – Branched Oak State Recreation Area is looking for volunteers for Take Pride in America Day on May 5. Volunteers can take pride in their local park by helping with a project.

From 9 a.m. to late afternoon, volunteers will clear a mile-long trail, cutting back and removing small trees. Lunch will be provided. Volunteers should bring gloves, chain saws, pruning sheers, axes and power trimmers.

To volunteer, call the park office at 402-783-3400. The rain date is May 12. A park entry permit is required.
