Free Fishing and Park Entry Day 2012

Whatcha doing tomorrow?

I do not have much more to add, tomorrow is Free Fishing/Free Park Entry Day, grab the kids, grab somebody who has not fished for awhile and get them out there!  The reason we have this day every year is to get folks introduced, or if they previously enjoyed being out there, re-introduced, to fishing and our state parks.  The intent of this day is not just for everyone to have a free day fishing or a free day enjoying the state parks.  If that is what you think it is for, let me remind you that the stewardship of our state’s fisheries resources and the upkeep of our state parks is not accomplished for free–buy a permit!  No, the intent of Free Fishing/Free Park Entry Day is to recruit new anglers and new parks users!

So. . . if you are a beginner, or have not fished in quite awhile, or if you know someone like that, tomorrow is the day for a free introduction!  Get out there, or get someone else out there and get hooked!
