“Name-the-chicks” contest up and running
The “Name-the-chicks” contest is, now, up and running. Let me make clear, from the start, that we will try something a little different this year. As in years past, you can submit your entries online or down at our display at the Capitol. This year entries will be accepted until 13 June 2012. However, and this is the part that is different, from the entries we will select the top five and then allow the public to vote for their favorite. We will announce the final winner on 28 June 2012. Got your idea for the two male eyases ready? Visit this link and submit your entry:

to be considered. Thanks!
They have started looking over the edge of their home today.
06-04-12 I see the eyases are huddling together in the winds today. I also see the chick’s molting process nearly completed. The feathers on their wings are really coming thru. I’m wondering was that a wing from a carass in the background? I’m hoping it didnt come off of one of the chicks!
