May 6, 2012 In The Wild No Comments

Two priceless Nebraska outdoor treasures, plus an open phones session with avid sportsman & outdoor writer Greg Medlin of Omaha, NE highlight my broadcast topics this week.

On my Weekly Outdoor Report on Omaha’s WOWT-TV/Channel 6, we’re venturing to northeastern Nebraska to visit the unique Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park near Royal

and to fish the nearby pristine waters of the East Branch of the Verdigre Creek trout stream in the Grove Lake Wildlife Management.

The outdoor report airs on Thursdays at 6 p.m. during sports and then again on Saturday mornings later in the station’s hour-long, 8 a.m. newscast. Video replays of the segment can also be seen online at  www.wowt.com/sports

Switching gears to my radio work, on The Great Outdoor Radio Show this week,  join me and my friend – avid sportsman & outdoor writer Greg Medlin of Omaha, NE

for another hour of open phones. The show runs live each and every Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. CST on Omaha’s KOZN Radio 1620 AM “The Zone” and on the Internet at www.1620thezone.com Our phone numbers where you can be part of this interactive outdoor program, are: Locally 402-951-1620 or Toll-Free 1-877-951-1620.
