LINCOLN, Neb. – The entire family can learn outdoor skills such as kayaking, fishing, birding, camping games, archery and much more at the Becoming an Outdoors-Family Camp on Aug. 10-12 at Fort Kearny State Recreation Area.
The cost is $50 per family of six, and the registration deadline is Aug. 1. Forms can be found at Fort Kearny State Historical Park visitor center, Sporting Edge in Kearney, at any Nebraska Family Fishing Night and at OutdoorNebraska.org/Education/Programs. A park entry permit is required of each vehicle entering the park.
In addition, Fort Kearny will host a Family Fishing Night on Aug. 10 from 5:30-7 p.m. Equipment and bait will be provided.
