This free event is for families with youth ages 11 to 17 who want to learn new outdoor skills, including rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader and archery shooting, as well as fishing. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Participants must register at huntsafenebraska.org by June 19. The Lincoln Izaak Walton Shooting Range is located a half-mile north of 134th Street and Nebraska Highway 2. Space is limited.

Today our chapter hosts many conservation programs, and has some of the most active shooting sports programs available in this area. We provide the only full service shooting range within fifty miles of Lincoln. Here you will find opportunities to practice shooting skills, with pistols, rifles and shotguns, on our well-kept ranges located one half mile south of Highway 2 on South 134th Street. At the Lincoln Ike’s, we focus on education and the experiences we provide to younger shooters. We firmly believe that properly trained shooters are important to our future. We offer young hunter safety training, youth trap shooting, an orientation to shooting for youth who have passed the hunter safety course, and many individual clinics such as “women in the outdoors”.
