LINCOLN, Neb. – Platte River State Park’s Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex will be closed to the public July 9-11. The annual 4-H Outdoor Skills Camp will be held there at that time.
Visit outdoornebraska.org/OHEC for information about the education complex, including hours of operation.
The camp, a partnership between the Nebraska 4-H and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, is a hands-on exploration of hunting, fishing, shooting, nature and other outdoor recreational skills. While the July camp is full, visit http://4h.unl.edu/ for more information about 4-H programs.
“The new shooting facility has been a much-needed improvement for this program and others like it,” said Christy Christiansen, outdoor education specialist with Game and Parks. “Participants learn from some of the best instructors in the state in a safe and comfortable environment.”
