Norfolk-to-Battle Creek Segment of Cowboy Trail Open

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Cowboy Recreation and Nature Trail segment from Norfolk’s TaHaZouka Park to the west end of Battle Creek has reopened to public use.

Completed work on that 11-mile stretch includes the replacement of one bridge and repair of a nearby wash-out, repair of another bridge, and trail resurfacing.

The trail and bridges were damaged during the 2010 flooding of the Elkhorn River.
