No Boat Ramps Available at Sherman Reservoir

August 15, 2012 News No Comments

LINCOLN, Neb. – There are no operational boat ramps at Sherman Reservoir because of the low water level, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The Farwell Irrigation District’s website states that the flood pool elevation of Sherman is 2,162.3 feet. Its elevation on Aug. 15 was 2,142.

The water level is dropping at Merritt Reservoir, but boat ramps still are operational.

Boaters planning trips to irrigation reservoirs should call ahead to determine the status of boat ramps.
