Boaters Will Find Plenty of Access During Labor Day Weekend
LINCOLN, Neb. – With one exception, Labor Day weekend boaters will find Nebraska’s reservoirs have at least one operational boat ramp, and some have more than one.
While Sherman Reservoir has no boat ramps available because of low water, Lake McConaughy has two serviceable ramps and Calamus and Box Butte reservoirs have one each.
In the Sandhills, Merritt Reservoir has one ramp available and second ramp under construction.
In the southwest, the Medicine Creek Reservoir boat ramp is being extended with gravel to keep it in operation. Swanson and Enders reservoirs have one serviceable boat ramp each.
In the southeast, the Area 2 boat ramp at Branched Oak Lake is closed, but boaters can use the ramps in areas 4, 5 and 11.
Also, Missouri River boaters should note that the boat dock at Verdel Landing will be removed for repair on Oct. 1. It will be returned to service in the spring.
Boaters are urged to be cautious of underwater hazards created by lower water levels.

AT LEAST ONE OPERATIONAL BOAT RAMP!!! THAT”S GOOD.
How long do you think it will take to launch the hundreds, thousands of boats that are headed this way? CCpd manages this lake!
MORE LIKE MIS_MANAGES. THE lake was at 100+ percent, last fall, and the genuises running this decided to decrease the water
level in anticipation of the upcoming spring run-off (what run-off.) why didn’t they wait for spring to see the run-off? Maybe somebody that knows what the hell they’re doing should start running this, and start by re-writing this water law crap!!!
