NIOBRARA RIVER CANOEING ON TV
I’ll be featuring Niobrara River canoeing on my weekly, live TV outdoor report on WOWT-TV/Channel 6 in Omaha, NE later this week. Canoeing remains a popular Olympic sport and even here at home in Nebraska this time of year with thousands of you floating on the scenic Niobrara River’s waters east of Valentine, NE. I’ll talk about and show you why all of us should traverse those beautiful, Ogallala Aquifer-fed waters of the Niobrara by canoe at least once in our lifetime, if not more!
Don’t miss the broadcast! It airs on your NBC-TV Olympic Station in Omaha – WOWT-TV/Channel 6 and on the Internet at www.wowt.com Video replays of the outdoor report with the Channel 6 Sports Machine are always available after the initial cast at this link: www.wowt.com/sports The report can be accessed on Digital Channel 6.2 and Cox Cable Channel 120 as well. An additional reminder that Channel 6 runs The Weekly Outdoor Report on Saturdays later in the station’s hour-long 8 a.m. newscast. Thanks for watching, and we hope to get you and your family on the Niobrara River before summer’s end! I’ll bet you can’t stand underneath this cold, spring-fed waterfall (Berry Falls) along the river for more than 10 seconds, HA!

Beautiful footage. Made me want to go canoeing on Niobrara River next summer.
