It Has Been a Long, Dry Summer
OK, it’s Friday. Let me deviate a bit and lighten things up (warning: I have a warped sense of humor).
I imagine like me and my family, many of you have spent quite a bit of time watching the Olympics over the past couple of weeks.
I also spent some time on the Platte River this week, and imagine my surprise when I saw the Platte River Crew Team working out:
I do not know if they are going to make it to the Olympics in time, but if they do, I am betting they are pretty strong.
Another big current event this week was the landing of NASA’s Rover, Curiosity, on Mars. Here is one of the first pictures I saw that was sent back to earth:
Wow, who knew? Bugs Bunny told us that a long time ago! What did we need to send a rover there for?
By the way, I love Looney Tunes. Those were the best cartoons ever, and still are. I still watch ‘em, and still laugh out loud (you can ask my kids). I will bet ole Marvin Martian is just fuming, I hope Curiosity does not get disintegrated!
Have a great weekend, get outdoors, kick back, laugh a little bit!
