Photo of the Week – The Prairie Ecologist

It’s hard for me to separate my evaluation of this photo from my emotional state at the time I took it.  I had just spent the day working to clean up after the big wildfire on the Niobrara when I saw this scene – a big contrast to the stark burned-out landscape surrounding it.
