Campground at Burchard WMA Reopens

LINCOLN, Neb. – While the lake at Burchard Wildlife Management Area (WMA) remains closed, the primitive campground below the dam has reopened and is available for hunters this fall.

The WMA in Pawnee County has been closed this summer for repairs to the lake’s outlet structure. While the lake level was down for those repairs, additional work was completed on new boat ramps and shoreline angler access enhancements. Most of that work has been completed, but the lake area will remain closed, likely until next spring.
