Chadron State Park to Reopen Sept. 7

September 5, 2012 News No Comments

LINCOLN, Neb. – Chadron State Park will reopen Sept. 7 following a recent wildfire that forced the evacuation, then the closing of the park.

Much of the park’s pine cover and ground vegetation was damaged by fire; however, none of the cabins and other park structures were lost. The cabins are being cleaned and should be available for rent early next week.

Visitors with respiratory problems should be aware of the potential for air quality issues, especially if winds disturb ash from recent fires.
