Grants Available to Enhance Watchable Wildlife Opportunities
LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is offering a maximum $2,000 grant for individuals or organizations to develop watchable wildlife and nature based experiences in Nebraska. With a total budget of $10,000 provided by the Wildlife Conservation Fund, Game and Parks is seeking to advance their mission of building appreciation and stewardship for natural resources through innovative and educational experiences across the state. Potential projects include viewing site development, special events, infrastructure, equipment and plan development.
The proposals, due Nov. 15, should be educational, sustainable and focus on a specific audience with the intention of encouraging ongoing participation from attendees. A 25 percent match is required for applicants and in-kind matches are permitted. Proposed projects cannot be directly linked to the profit of an organization or company.
