Homemade Living Weekend at Ponca SP Oct. 6-7

LINCOLN, Neb. – Visit Ponca State Park on Oct. 6-7 for the Homemade Living Weekend and Farmers’ Market, which focuses on the traditional skills and techniques of a small family farm or acreage.

There will be demonstrations in canning and preserving, bee keeping, organic and heirloom gardening, fiber arts, quilting, home-style foods and flour milling. Think homemade and homegrown from farm to table. Horse-drawn wagon rides and pioneer games also will be available.

Spend the autumn weekend camping at Ponca, enjoying the turning leaves. Spend time relaxing with a hike or fishing in the park pond.
