GET OUTSIDE, EXPERIENCE NEBRASKA’S FALL FOLIAGE

October 2, 2012 In The Wild 2 Comments

Here’s a pictorial essay that should prompt you and your family to get outside, smell the fresh autumn air, feel the breeze, and enjoy an outdoor activity here in Nebraska amid the splendor of fall color. The fall color, at least for eastern Nebraska, is happening now! My excuse to go outdoors this fall? Deer and turkey hunting in northeastern Douglas County.

I hope you like the pics. I sincerely enjoyed taking them!

Oh, and these fall mornings along the Missouri River, spectacular!

  1. Simply “Bea-utimus”!

Spent the weekend at Pawnee SRA. GREAT TENT WEATHER although the “fall” colors weren’t as progressive as your MO River findings.

Had the spray bottle of “Wag’s Skeeter Beater”, but didn’t need it! Those that “hang up their tents” before the Fall ain’t got a clue what they’re missing!

    Thanks for the pics!

Thanks much for the reply, Harold, my friend. Sorry your fall colors weren’t the greatest at Pawnee Lake SRA, but at least you had good camping weather and the ‘Wags Skeeter Beater’ homemade insect repellent at the ready if you needed it! Folks, be sure to the wonderful work that our friend Harold and his crew does on the Nebraska Fish and Game Association website, at: http://www.nefga.org
