Huge Opportunity for Hunters to “Give Back”

I was just sitting here chewing on a piece of deer jerky when I realized how unfortunate it is that all good folks of Nebraska don’t get a chance to taste how delicious deer meat is.  Not only that, many families in this hard hit economy are struggling just to put any meat on the table this holiday season and that just isn’t right.  This is where you folks come in!

We have a great opportunity to show the public just how generous the hunting community really is.  The Hunters Helping the Hungry program provides us with opportunities to donate our tasty venison to families in more need than some of us are.  Such efforts are good for Nebraska families but also extremely good for hunting.  They show the world that as a family, hunters care about their communities.   Simply donate your harvested deer to participating processors and you will be helping families in need.  Details can be found on our website and a list of participating processors will be posted in the next few days.  If you have already purchased permits, but wish to support this program, you can donate online
