Looking For a Place to Hunt This Fall?

October 25, 2012 Lock, Stock and Bedlam No Comments

Many are still looking for a place to chase deer, turkey or upland game this fall.  Our expanded Public Access Atlas is available at www.OutdoorNebraska.org website. This is a great resource to use for finding the perfect hunting site this year.

  1. Go to www.OutdoorNebraska.org and search for “Public Access Atlas”. Choose the first Option for “Public Access Atlas”
  2. The Online Atlas has a list of the new or removed properties from the program. You can click on the map sheet and print off specific pages (PDF). I recommend printing off the pages that have the new additions or the properties that were removed (refer to the table below the map image).
  3. Click on the Google Earth link at the top of the page. If you have Google Earth downloaded on your computer (it’s free), you can scout out your hunting spots by viewing the Atlas on Google Earth with aerial images.
  4. Click on the Mobile Apps link at the top of the page. If you have a smartphone you can view the Atlas on a free app. Click “the iPhone Guide” for information or Click on one of the links below for the Android Market.

Hunting access is getting tighter each year.  This program helps all of us keep the dream alive by giving us the ability roam wild places each year.  Enjoy and have fun!
