Day 2 From the Deer Woods

Remember when I told you that something special was going to happen last night or this morning? Well, I was wrong – at least where I was hunting.

We braved the 40-mph winds this AM near Tekamah and came up empty. Then Rob and I weren’t able to hunt where we wanted this PM because another hunter, who also has permission at this spot, was hunting.

Luckily, we were able to hunt another place in Cass County, land we gained access years ago by knocking on the landowner’s door. We’re confident here so we will see what happens.

Keep your fingers crossed that Rob gets a shot. I’ve already bitten all my fingernails off waiting to hear his gun go off.
