Hamburg Bend, Tobacco Island WMAs Reopen

LINCOLN, Neb. – Southeast Nebraska’s Hamburg Bend and Tobacco Island wildlife management areas have re-opened to public access, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

Hamburg Bend, in Otoe County, and Tobacco Island, in Cass County, had been closed so the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers could repair levies and river chutes on these areas. The work is completed and the areas are open to hunting, fishing and other allowable uses.
