Nebraska Bass Clubs

I will always tell you that a good way to learn how to become a better angler, to learn how to catch more and bigger fish, and meet some great folks and have a great time in the process is to join a fishing club or organization.  In my position as outreach program manager for the Fisheries Division of the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission I have had contact with and interacted with a number of our state’s fishing organizations.  I would love to be a member of all of the state’s fishing organizations, but to avoid any appearance of favoritism, I have not officially joined any of them.  However, that does not mean that many of them have not accepted me as an unofficial member or at least as a liaison from the Game & Parks Commission.  I have met a lot of great people, what you would expect of Nebraskans, through those organizations and have picked up a bunch of fishing tips along the way.

Recently, TBF Nebraska (The Bass Federation) has redone their website and I wanted to mention that here.  Check it out, http://tbfnebraska.com/ .  You can find some more details there on our regional champion high school bass anglers, http://outdoornebraska.ne.gov/blogs/2012/10/nebraska-boys-again/ , http://tbfnebraska.com/2012/10/06/matt-neiburg-and-zach-madsen-of-blair-high-school-weighed-15-pounds-to-win-the-southern-conference-championship/#more-201 .

We also have a Nebraska B.A.S.S. Federation and you can see their website here, http://www.nebraskabass.com/index.html .

Spend some time looking around both of those websites, there is a lot of useful information there.  Better yet, join ‘em!

Listen to the bass, join a club!
