Glaucous-winged Gull photo gallery
Finding rarities is just one of the great joys of birding. A few photos are below of a near adult or adult Glaucous-winged Gull which Carlos Grandes and I found at Lake Ogallala on 16 February 2013. Glaucous-winged Gulls are a west coast species and, if accepted, this would be a fourth state record. All photos are by Carlos Grandes.

Very cool! It’s kind of funny though because they’re considered rats where I’m from, right next to pigeons.
Hi Jenny:
Yep, that’s part of birding. A bird common as dirt in one part of the country is a gem in another. But gulls are cool.
I was wondering how to get to the live feed at the state capital so I can watch the falcons again this year they should be there and your website keeps telling me to click the right hand side of the pictures to get there and it sends me to the gulls they are nice but the falcons are my thing the woodman falcons are back so I figure the capital falcons should be back to would be nice to see so please help me get to the live feed. Thanks peg
Hi Peg:
Thanks for your comment. Yes, the webcam is currently running and you can see it at:
