Hot Hole

I had a great time at the ice fishing clinic in Kearney this past weekend.  If you missed it, all I can say is you shoulda been there.  I do not know if folks benefit from anything I say at events, but I love doing them.  First of all, I …

Weekend plans

Getting things ready for the ice-fishing workshop in Kearney tomorrow.  I am guessing I will see a few “blog readers” there; looking forward to it. Until then, just for fun . . . That was not a product endorsement, although I do plan to try some of that line.  I …

Mid-Winter

First ice and last ice is usually the best fishing of the ice season and if you ask me, some of the best fishing of the entire year.  Period.  End of discussion.  But things can get tough during the middle of the winter, and based on what I have seen …

Let me think “out loud” for a little bit . . .

I have blogged numerous times about the need for us to recruit new anglers.  We need that for the sport and for the fisheries resources that we love!  The more people that care about those resources the better they will be cared for. Now I know folks may not think …

Been a busy week, has taken me longer than expected to get another blog post up this week.  Sorry. Since it is mid-winter I have ice-fishing on the brain.  Several things have been running through my head, let me ramble awhile and see if I can weave those random thoughts …
