Description:
In farm country of the northern Great Plains and former prairies of the Great Lakes regions, the introduced Gray Partridge is an uncommon and often inconspicuous bird, found especially where hedgerows and other plantings provide cover. Modern agriculture and the loss of shelterbelts appear to have contributed to this species' decline. Gray partridge is native to Eurasia.
